アカテガニの産卵観察の季節到来
三浦半島のアカテガニ産卵観察の季節になりました。
アカテガニの産卵は６月から１０月まで行われて
いますが、観察会は産卵が盛んな７月下旬から８月
一杯、大潮で満月または新月の週末およびその前後
（金～月）に行われます。
昨日（２７日）は今季の初日なので観察のお手伝い
に行ってきました。
アカテガニの放仔（ほうし、産卵のこと）は何度見ても
感動的です。
日が沈む頃アカテガニは普段住んでいる森から出て
きて海面に全身が隠れるくらいの深さで体を震わせて
お腹に抱えた２～３万粒の卵を海に放ちます。
静かな海面には波紋が広がり、無数の卵が煙のよう
に海に広がってゆきます。
二頭が同時に放仔
右側の個体からは無数の卵が煙のように放出されて
いるのが見えます。
日没２５分後くらいに放仔はピークに達し、次から
次へと放仔が行われます。

日々暮らしております。
たんぽぽさんも相変わらずお元気で良かったです。
明日はカニパトはお休みですが、知らずに来られる方に
備えてカニパト警備のお手伝いです。
