城ヶ島のウミウとヒメウ
先日、城ヶ島のウミウの展望台に行ってきました。
展望台からは城ヶ島で冬を過ごすウミウが休息する
半島が眺められます。
半島の全景
半島の崖はウミウの糞で白くなっています。

太平洋に突き出た半島の先端部にも沢山のウミウが
沢山のウミウに混じって休息する１羽のヒメウ
ヒメウはウミウより一回り小さく、絶滅危惧種です。
この日は３羽のヒメウを確認できました。

ウミウの展望台から見える崖は画面左側の４分の１
だけです。（一番上の写真「半島の全景」の裏側と
言うか、向こう側の崖です。）
