猿島のウミウのコロニー
５年ぶりぐらいに猿島に行ってきました。
島内ではウグイスの囀りがよく聞かれましたが、
姿を確認できたのはヒヨドリ、トビ、ウミウ程度
で、カワラヒワとメジロの声も聞こえましたが
全体的に種も数も少なく期待以下でした。
ウミウのコロニーは島内から観察できるポイント
は無くフェリーの甲板からしか観ることはできな
かったです。写真撮影も揺れる船の上からとなった
のでピントがいまいちです。
現在建設中の新しい桟橋が完成すると、桟橋から
観察できそうです。

ウミウのコロニーです。

コロニーで休息していたウミウの数は約１００羽
ぐらいでした。 ヒメウらしい姿も写っています。
